12 Celebrities You Might See at The 2022 Kentucky Derby That Make it Worth The Drive
Most people think that because I work in radio and media that I have a golden ticket to meet any celebrity. Even typing this makes me laugh because that could not be farther from the truth. Some people in this industry do have contacts and know-how to meet famous people when they come to town. Not this girl.
Celeb Obsessed
Let me give you an example of what it's like to attend a concert with me, in hopes of meeting the band. A few years ago my poor husband waited outside in the alley of The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee so that I could try and meet Rob Thomas. We stood in that alley for an hour before the show, and for quite a while after it. Oh, did I mention that we were next to the dumpsters? Yes, I'm super fun. This is as close as I got.
An Invitation to Meet Guy Fieri?
It seems just about right that I would come across information that Guy Fieri is going to visit his Chicken Guy! restaurant the same day he is going to be there. Not really enough time to plan that road trip. Also, he's only meeting people for an hour, so I would've needed to be in line days ago.
Time to Investigate
You know, Guy also has a restaurant in Louisville, Kentucky. The World-Famous Kentucky Derby happens to be this weekend. I am a betting person, and a bit crazy, so I am willing to bet all of the chicken tenders that Guy will be at The Derby. I mean it is possible.
