25th Annual Baseball and American Culture Symposium Kicks Off Wednesday
The 25th annual Cooperstown Symposium on Baseball and American Culture, co-sponsored by SUNY Oneonta and the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, will meet Wednesday-Friday.
Cooperstown Mayor Jeff Katz will present SUNY Oneonta President Nancy Kleniewski and Hall of Fame President Jeff Idelson proclamations honoring the 25th anniversary of the symposium.
During the three-day symposium, 25 panels encompassing more than 60 presentations will provide a forum for understanding America through its national pastime.
Frank Deford will give the keynote address. Also featured will be the fourth edition of “Skirting the Issue,” a forum on women and baseball.
