This past Saturday, Downtown Oneonta was alive with the sound of great music, the delicious aroma of Jamaican barbecue, and the colorful sights of art of all genres with CANO's 16th annual City of the Hills Art & Music Festival.  This was all thanks to the Community Art Network of Oneonta (CANO) and the hard work put in by this all volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the arts in the Greater Oneonta area.

The City of The Hills Art & Music Festival, which was originally started by ARC Otsego was a huge success this year, drawing a few thousand people to Oneonta's Main Street.  According to CANO's facebook page, they reveal the winning artists from this juried art show:

Best In Show: Fantasy Clocks by Richard Birkett
2nd Place: Whimsical Metal Sculpture by John Jackson
3rd Place: D Michael Price of Stark Raving Graphics
Honorable Mention: Hudson + Salt by Lisa Samols
Honorable Mention: Wildwoods Woodturning by Chris Wakefield

Kudos to CANO for bringing this wonderful event to Oneonta! I was very excited to meet an adorable goat from NY Goat Yoga in Gilbertsville, NY.  She was the hit of the festival and was loving all the attention and goat food that fans were sharing with her.
