Catching Up With Kaitlyn Jackson

Kaitlyn Jackson joined us by telephone Tuesday morning less than a week after her appearance on the season debut of American Idol. She told us that the actual day of the audition was a long one, nerve wracking for her to be sure, but maybe more so for mom and dad who nervously awaited the judges decision in the hotel hall way. One interesting note was that, while the audience only saw her short performance of her original song, she actually sang two other songs during the audition which lasted about 15 minutes.

We all know the outcome, of course, as she was unanimously sent through to Hollywood by the judges. It was an interesting conversation with a talented performer with many great things ahead of her. Whether or not that includes advancing on Idol, well, we just have to wait for her next appearance to find out. Listen to the entire interview with Kaitlyn below.
