The rock group from Sayreville, New Jersey take the spotlight today in music history.  Bon Jovi, featuring Jon Bovi on vocals, Ritchie Sambora on guitar, Dave Bryan on keyboards, Alec John Such on bass, and Tico Torres on drums, hit number one on the U.S. singles chart with 'Livin' On A Prayer', on this day in 1987.

How disappointed were you when Chris Daughtry was eliminated from American Idol, season five?  It was a shocker, but this story has a happy ending.  Daughtry didn't settle for fourth place.

This morning, Ethan Harris called in to talk about his audition on American Idol.  Last night he received a "Yes" from each judge.  Before the audition began, he got to share a picture he drew of Keith Urban with the country star.  Urban was flattered and autographed the artwork.  The gold ticket means Ethan is Hollywood bound!

In November, 1993, the film "The Three Musketeers", starring Charlie Sheen, Keifer Sutherland, and Chris O'Donnell was released.  The film produced a huge hit single featuring Bryan Adams, Rod Stewart and Sting called, "All For Love".

Everybody wants to know who is the 15 year old who sang a song about her Grandfather on American Idol last night.  It is Kaitlyn Jackson of Norwich, New York.   She was the winner of our 2011 Jr Idol competition.    "Another Angel" is song she wrote

This week is the kick off to Season 13 of American Idol.  This year's competition is especially exciting for our listening area as two local talents are setting out to win golden ticket to Hollywood.  Kaitlyn Jackson of Norwich, New York, and Ethan Harris of Garrattsville, New York are both competing to be the next American Idol.

One thing I will always be proud of is that I was a farm kid.  I thought it would be fun to show all the farmers my appreciation by putting together my top five picks of "farming put to pop music".  The videos are clever, entertaining, and true.  If you like to eat, thank a farmer.  Enjoy the the farm parody countdown:
