Clothes The Loop NY – Clothing and Textile Recycling in Cooperstown

The NYS Association of Reduction, Reuse and Recycling (NYSAR3) in conjunction with the Secondary Materials & Recycled Textiles Association (SMART) and the Council for Textile Recycling (CTR) is kicking off a state-wide campaign to “Clothes the Loop NY” on clothing and textile recycling.  The state-wide campaign to “Clothes the Loop NY” will be holding their annual recycling conference November 5-7, 2014 at the Otesaga Resort Hotel in Cooperstown. NY.

The Cooperstown community is invited to participate in a textile collection November 5th and 6th at the Otesaga Resort Hotel.  Textile collection containers will be set up for local residents to donate unwanted textiles for reuse & recycling.

Items to be collected include but are not limited to: Shoes, boots, sneakers, sports shoes, tops, sweaters, dresses, outerwear, socks, hats, belts, bags, gloves, ties, sheets, drapes, blankets, comforters, stuffed animals, etc..

Items that will not be accepted include: Rugs or carpets, items stained with grease or bleach, and items that are moldy
