A pet hospice in Delaware County has been shut down after a ruling of financial mismanagement and has been ordered sold. State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman said Wednesday that Angel's Gate owner Susan Marino misused $3.1 million in charitable donations. A state Supreme Court judge in Cooperstown ordered the hospice in Delhi be dissolved and Marino barred from taking in rescue animals. Marino ran the hospice for hundreds of chronically ill and crippled dogs and cats and has denied misappropriation of funds.
