The New York Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee and the Department of Motor Vehicles kicked off a motorcycle safety campaign with a summit held Friday to get input on promoting safety and awareness for riders, law enforcement and the motoring public. One part is the affixing of “Watch for Motorcycles” signs to fuel pumps and fuel nozzles statewide. Responses from a survey sent to 10,000 licensed and registered motorcyclists across the state will help New York develop future campaign messaging and materials.
