Each year, the Grammy Awards, a.k.a. Music’s Biggest Night, celebrates the artists, albums, songwriters, producers, musicians and more whose music works captured our ears, hearts and attention throughout the year. One of the most coveted and highly anticipated awards of the night is Album of the Year, which honors the best studio albums released.

The 2019 Grammy Awards nominees for Album of the Year include:

Invasion of Privacy, Cardi B
By The Way, I Forgive You, Brandi Carlile
Scorpion, Drake
H.E.R, H.E.R.
Beerbongs & Bentleys, Post Malone
Dirty Computer, Janelle Monae
Golden Hour, Kacey Musgraves

With so many talented artists up for the win, we’ll have to wait and see to find out who ultimately walks away with the Grammy on Sunday night.

Until then, let’s take a look back at all of the past winners of Album of the Year. From Adele and Taylor Swift to OutKast and Mumford & Sons, winners of the Album of the Year award have stretched across genres, proving good music isn’t just limited to one sound.
