Electric City Sweets, a Scranton, Pennsylvania-based company, is recalling their Red Velvet Milk Chocolate Bars due to the presence of undeclared milk, a major food allergen that is not listed on the product label as required by law. This poses a potential risk for individuals with milk allergies or lactose intolerance, as consuming the product could lead to serious allergic reactions.
As of now, no illnesses or allergic reactions associated with this recalled item have been reported to the company.
The recalled Red Velvet Milk Chocolate Bars were sold through online orders on the company's website and via wholesale accounts, reaching various locations including Scranton and Milford in Pennsylvania, Delray Beach in Florida, Marina Del Rey in California, Orlando in Florida, and North Carolina.
The product, packaged in a 1.75-ounce container, can be identified by the UPC number 860005974467. The affected lots are identified by the following best-by date and lot number pairs: 05/16/2025 and 0101461635, and 05/29/2025 and 0101542739.

The recall was initiated after a customer reported the undeclared milk issue to a retailer and prompt action was taken by Electric City Sweets to address the situation and ensure consumer safety.
Anyone who purchased the recalled product and cannot consume milk for any reason is advised not to consume the candy bar. The product can be safely disposed of or returned to the store of purchase for a full refund.
