No More Babies For April The Giraffe In Harpursville

April the Giraffe whose home is at Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville, NY has gotten national attention since her arrival at the park.  According to a video posted on Animal Adventure Park's facebook page, April, is considered a senior at the age of 17 and after having given birth to a total of five healthy babies, is now headed for the retirement barn at her current home.  It also means, she will go on contraceptives so no more giving birth for April.

Something interesting to note: According to the Giraffe Conservation Conservation, there is actually no recorded evidence of how long giraffes live, but it's estimated that they can live to about 25 years in the wild and even longer in captivity.
