New York State is making $5 million available to support critical upgrades at non-profit and municipal animal shelters. The Companion Animal Capital Fund is the first state-sponsored program in the nation to support critical improvement projects at New York shelters. Since the launch of the program, 24 projects have been awarded across the State and are underway. Applications are due by Jan. 20, 2020 and details can be found at agriculture.ny.gov/RFPS.
