Oneonta Outlaws Gear Up For 2022 Home Opener This Saturday Night

The Oneonta Outlaws who call historic Damaschke Field in Oneonta, NY their home and are members of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League, are all ready to take on the Watertown Rapids in the home opener on June 4.

Nothing says "summer" like taking in a baseball game and at Damaschke Field, it's definitely a real hometown experience, fun for people who aren't even baseball fans. I can attest to that since I'm not into watching sports in general and a few years back, my husband and I decided to go watch an Outlaws game and we had a great time! With the enthusiastic energy of the fans in the stands, the intense will of the Outlaw players to win against the visiting team, along with the amazing aroma of hotdogs and hamburgers cooking at the concession stand, it's just a great, all-around night during the summer.

Don't forget that if you haven't been to an Outlaws game in a while, Damaschke Field has undergone some major changes in the last few years and is an even better experience for the fans coming out.

Remember the big renovation project that began in the fall of 2019? That project was done in stages with the grandstand demolished and fencing removed, new concrete poured and new seats put in closer to home plate. Also, the box seats and dugouts were rebuilt with netting placed over them for safety. Fans got to enjoy those changes for the first time last season after the 2020 season was canceled due to COVID-19. The Damaschke Field changes are great and sure to please baseball fans for the season to come so make sure you squeeze in some home games this season and support our Oneonta hometown Outlaws team.
