So many things have been canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic - going to restaurants without a face mask, grocery shopping without a face mask, going anywhere without a face mask. I think you see where I'm going with this. This is another thing that has been canceled by the coronavirus pandemic and another thing that we have no idea of when it will return.

Disneyland had gotten everyone excited a couple of weeks ago when they announced that they would be reopening their parks to the public. Well, you need to put your mouse ears back in the closet and sit down. Disneyland announced today that they are postponing their mid-July reopening because officials in California haven't come out with guidelines for their reopening. Believe it or not, government approval is needed for their reopening.

The worst part of this whole thing is that California officials say the guidelines won't be released until after the Fourth of July and because of the logistics of getting Disneyland cast members assembled and ready to go and the effort it takes to restart everything in the park, Disney couldn't give a new date when they will be reopening their California parks.

Ok, now that we have the bad news out of the way about Disney in California, here's some good news. Disney World is still on track to begin a phased reopening of its Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom parks in Florida on July 11. They are also still set to reopen EPCOT and Hollywood Studios on July 15, so if you're willing to travel to Orlando, you can still get your Disney theme park fix this summer. But as with everything these days, those plans could change, so we'll let you know if there are any possible cancellations or postponements.
