Super Smash Bros. Gets Mario Galaxy Stage on Wii U
A new stage for the Wii U version of Super Smash Bros. has been revealed, and it's proving to be out of this world.
Terrible puns aside, directory Masahiro Sakurai uploaded a screenshot of a Mario Galaxy-inspired stage for Super Smash Bros. It was uploaded to the Super Smash Bros. Series community in Miiverse this morning and shows a few characters duking it out on one of the series' little, round planets.
According to Sakurai, the stage will feature a strong gravitational pull and "will require using brand-new tactics." We take that to mean that gravity will act as a stage hazard and keep fighters grounded at different points in a battle.
There's still quite some time before we see the release of Super Smash Bros. on Wii U and 3DS in 2014. Until then, let's just enjoy the stream of screenshots coming out from Nintendo.
