Delaware Sheriff’s Office Breast Cancer Awareness Statement
During the month of October 2018, The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office is showing its support to help bring awareness to the devastating disease of breast cancer. Sheriff’s Office members will be wearing the iconic pink Breast Cancer Awareness ribbon as part of their uniform.
The Sheriff’s Office Administrative Assistant Jessica Miller purchased and crafted the well-known pink ribbons to honor the many victims who have battled and who are currently battling breast cancer.
Delaware County Sheriff Craig DuMond showed his support to the cause by authorizing the wearing of the ribbon as a part of the uniform for all employees. Further, he advises that “everyone knows someone who has been affected by breast cancer and awareness is the first step in battling this awful disease”.
