There have been 28 films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far, and some of them are more important than others. If you haven’t seen The Incredible Hulk, it’s not like you’d be lost trying to follow The Avengers. But, as it turns out, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is one of those Marvel movies you can’t miss. Like Captain America: Civil War or Avengers: Endgame, it marks a major narrative fork in the road at Marvel — the cinematic equivalent of Marvel’s occasional company-wide crossovers such as Secret Invasion.
