Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri announced that the platform will be testing out a new feature in the U.S. that will prevent other people from being able to see how many likes you have on a post. The platform isn't getting rid of analytics; you will still be able to see your likes and insights, and brands will still have access to that info. However, the like count will be hidden from your followers. This is all part of Instagram's attempt to become the “safest place on the internet." Their goal is to "do away with the idea that one’s worth is somehow tied to the amount of likes you get on a photo." (via The Shade Room)
Kanye West for President?
While speaking at the Fast Company Innovation Festival, Kanye announced that he will be running for President of the United States in 2024. The crowd laughed at him, thinking it was a joke, but the rapper insisted that it is something he definitely plans on doing. He also ranted about Forbes refusing to put some respect on his name and label him as a billionaire, and said he's thinking about legally changing his name to "Christian Genuis Billionaire Kanye West".
