What does UHS Chenango Memorial have in common with Awestruck Ciders?  Nothing comes to mind does it?  This unlikely combination will provide a first of it's kind.  This Norwich based hospital is holding it's first walk-in COVID-19 vaccine clinic in the Awestruck Tap Room in Sidney.  Yes you heard that right.  This is taking place on the last day of April from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The Vice President of Clinical Services at UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital, David Finney issued this statement regarding the joining of forces with this Sidney based business.    “We feel their Tap Room in Sidney will be the perfect place to test what we hope will be a successful new model for us, as we move into this next phase of the vaccination effort.”

You can just show up but you can also make a reservation by calling the Awestruck Tap Room at (607) 232-1143.  If you do this, you will have a designated vaccine time.  And this is only the beginning as the hospital will go back to Awestruck on May 27th for the second dose of Moderna.  Talks are underway with other businesses to set up more walk-in COVID-19 vaccine clinics in Chenango County.  The hope is that this will come together quickly so they can have more in May.  Once again, the walk-in event in the Awestruck Tap Room in Sidney is from 11:00am to 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 30th.
